YoungAdult

Young Adult books are aimed at teenagers. While teens can (and often do) read books aimed at adults, there are specific characteristic of YA books which cannot be assumed when a teen reads a book marketed toward adults. Authors of YA books might also write Middle Grade or Adult books, sometimes they use pen names to make it easier to know which book is intended for a particular audience

Or M. Bialik
"Welcome to my world. My name is Or Bialik. By trade, I’m a scientist (if you want to know more about that, check here), dealing with how our world and environments in it changes and had changed, due to external forces. Forces coming at times from below the Earth, or from space, or from human actions. But long before I had to worry about the future for a living, I explored it with stories. You are welcome to join and visit some of them. I don’t state my pronouns because how I perceive myself is in flux. If you must, both he/him and they/them are fine."

Born and raised in Los Angeles, she now lives on the wrong coast, where she can’t believe she has to deal with winter every year. When not writing, JJ can be found working toward her next black belt degree in taekwondo, being run ragged by her twin dogs, Castor and Pollux, or indulging in her favorite hobby — collecting more hobbies."

Kat Kinney

Shaina Krevat
"In 2016, I began writing the Tales of Mundane Magic series. It follows Gertie and Bridget Mallon through a world that has smart phones and laptops and cars, but with magic woven in. With their ghost dog Ziggy, their Pied-Piper-esque friend Ernest, and their necromancer-in-training bestie Vivien, the sisters give us a peek at everyday life in a magical world. In 2018 I self published Volume One, and now all four volumes are available anywhere books are sold!"
